Hi,
I'm using skifta, it is working perfectly via lan in same wireless connection , but on 3g , I can see my PC online then I chose it and chose my phone to be play the media , then when I'm trying to browse and play media , it will appear message " connection created" then it will stuck on another message "waiting for connection"... This message will exist forever.
Did I miss anything?
my mobile Galaxy s2 and my pc XP , and both are working perfectly with Skifta via my wirless at home (WIFI)
1)Have you tried connecting using the device from a remote wifi network?
2)Who is your internet service provider? Who is your mobile service provider? [ also - take a look here: http://forums.skifta.com/topic/list-of-isps-that-block-skifta-remote-traffic ]
3)If you operate the device on 3g and the computer on wifi, are both devices shown as 'online' when you login to http://www.skifta.com and view 'my connections'?
4) Do you have a standard or custom firmware ?
If you want us to look into this, you can send a log to us. Install the free app 'log collector' from the marketplace. Immediately after you see the issue, switch to log collector and mail the log to yourself. Attach it to a mail to support@skifta.com referencing this thread.

I can see videos from wifi remote but not 3g..
I'm in Kuwait and my provider is VIVA.

Ok - we see 'Connection reset by peer' - do you always get this same message?

Hi,
I have the same issue as ahmoda, when using 3G (even 2G), everything works just fine until the real connection.
The steps are as follow (btw, i have the french client):
-Skifta launchs
-I click on the source
-I choose distant
-I select my ReadyNAS
-I get the message "connexion en cours" (connecting)
-Shortly after, i get the message "connexion en attente" (waiting for connection) which never disappears.
-Sometimes, instead of waiting for connection, i get connection impossible and skifta closes.
I've just sent the last log through the mail (this log contains the 2 cases i've just described).
My mobile provider is Orange in France. Skifta runs on a Xperia Ray with standard 2.3.4 Android and as I wrote in another thread, everything works just fine when using WiFi at home and at family's home.
Nota : When using the website, both my NAS and mobile are seen as online, but i get "connection failed"

The support discussion was a reply to my e-mail, through e-mails.
My logs showed that Orange France does traffic shaping (for mobile phones), thus blocking skifta when in 2G/3G.
Orange France was added (or already written, i don't remember well) in the list of mobile ISP blocking skifta.

I think Conal doesn't have more info on your logs, i've done and sent several logs of the problem. Each log had a different message :
-HTTP request failed security validation - aborting request
-An error occurred sending the validate session request
-No peer certificate
-Media server ports NOT directly accessible from internet (auto port mapping is required)
-No IGD discovered so auto port mapping not possible, aborting
And then a long sequence :

If i'm not mistaken, this is this sequence that confirms that i'm screwed for the moment.
I would suggest, eventually, to record other logs. If you can understand them, you can even try to see what happens when you try connecting your devices.

As I commented in my email to you, I wanted to know if you always see this same message after the issue when inspecting the logs of your device?
My suspicion, the same as for Tiranor, is that your provider is blocking your remote access. Your problem is slightly different though - so if you can check the logs of your device after each time you see that issue and let me know, I'll come back to you.
My suspicion is that VIVA is filtering some of your traffic requests.
