   I'm trying to play FLAC audio on the Kindle Fire but I can't get Skifta to launch the correct player. I can play them locally on the device with andless player, and it is registered as the default player for flac files. When browsing my home networked collection, however, the option to use andless player does not appear. The only options are Amazon MP3 & MoboPlayer, neither of which play FLAC. I've tried both PS3 Media Server & the Skifta Media server.

   Also, I have not had success with andless playing 24 bit FLAC.

   I was just wondering if anyone has any success or recommendations.

   I got it to work partially by altering the PS3 media server configuration to stop trying to convert FLAC. I now can choose MX Video Player (which I love), and that player does play FLAC, apparently even 24 bit 5.1! Unfortunately, it does not play all files in a directory, only one at a time, which is not very handy.

   I just tried playing the files locally on the Fire & it will play all files in a directory, but not over DNLA. Is this something that can be fixed in the future?

   Several things here:
   1) PS3 media server does do some transcoding and turning that off will supply the correct file type to Skifta allowing you to select a valid media player.
   2) Meridian player also plays flac. Installing players registers 'intents' with the android media database. Skifta uses the android media database to find the 'intent' to match files of a certain type with a certain player.
