Can you describe what you did and the results - I tried a oneX here and it seemed fine.
If you 'force close' Skifta from the applications settings menu, do the symptoms you describe persist?

I ran Skifta on the One X then tabbed over to my browser to check for some info but all pages simply timed out. I then exited Skifta and the problem remained. It was only when I force closed Skifta from the task manager that my internet connection came back...

This is not an issue I've ever heard of before.
Regarding this:
1) Have you rebooted the device recently?
2) Run skifta, press the menu button, select 'settings', enable 'mobile network support'. Does this issue only occur on wifi or does it also happen on 3g? My reasoning here is (for wifi) is that it's your router.. If possible, also repeat the test using a friends wifi network (or a work network) and let us know the results.
3) What firmware are you running on your device? Is it a stock firmware or aftermarket? That should get you started - I'm very interested to hear what you come back with :-)

1) Yep.
2) I think this was the problem. It was works network that wouldn't allow the Skirts internet connection simultaneously with any other web connection.
3) I'm on android ice cream sandwich.Cheers,

I'm very sorry - I don't quite understand your response for point '2' - can you clarify if there is still an issue?
In regards to point 3: - please let me know the version details. On your device:
Home > Settings > About Phone > Build number / android version / kernal version. Many thanks!

The issue is now solved. The original problem was experienced using the as distributed one x firmware. I have since updated to android 4.0.3 build 1.28.401.9 kernel 2.6.39.4 and it now works fine on the 4 different networks that I use.
Thanks for looking into this.
