This is how I setup my freenas home server:
Dataset -> format ZFS
Permission set -> 777
UPnp -> profile DLNA
Check IP showing only folders, but no media, images, and videos.
I check skifta many time to change folders, only folders I can see, no media. Please help...how to properly set it up with freenas
Hello! Just need to reiterate here, Skifta is not officially supported on Freenas. However, I'm always keen to hear of subscriber's experiences on other platforms ;-)
Can you let me know the script or command you're using to start Skifta please?

what's annoying is rebuilding the database every time I add new medias on the account. I don't know much about the scripting, but what is the best server format that will work with skifta, mac and windows.

btw I'm trying to access skifta services through my android cellphone not through the platform.
You can use any media server you like. Skifta desktop lets you shift that media stream outside of your home network and has it's own built in media server (you just need to set the paths listed in that link I sent you earlier).
Check your online status by logging in to http://www.skifta.com and clicking 'my connections'.
