Hello Molitar
We're always adding new features to Skifta and the media server component is quite a new feature for us, so we may be adding the ability to select multiple folders at some juncture.

As the Skifta device client works as a Digital Media Controller it's designed to allow you to use 'any' DLNA or UPNP compliant media server. There's a large number of other media servers out there (such as PS3 media server). I usually recommend XBMC as it's fairly ubiquitous and quite accessible to novice users and because there's lots of information in the forums.

Glad you're up and running, but please do bear in mind that the XBMC and Skifta teams all view these forums and have put a great deal of high quality work into those products. Please let me know if you'd like a link to some other media servers to try.

Ok I found a method but what a pain that I had to find a method. I am using a junction point to map my video folder to my various drives so now I have a Drive D and Drive E folder. Dumb method but it works tons better than that crap XMBC.

Try this ;-)

XBMC is available for all platforms from http://www.xbmc.org and will let you include multiple video sources.
Set it up to broadcast on the network.
System > Network > Services > Share Video and Music libraries through UPNP
If you want, also check 'Allow control of XBMC via UPNP'.

Create a library: From XBMC home screen, select 'Music', add source, choose a music folder and give it a name. Right click the folder and select 'scan items to library'.

Video libraries: check you have adhered to this for building your video library:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Video_Library#Preparing_your_Videos_to_be_Scanned
Repeat the library process for your video content.

And finally... It sounds to me like network discovery has not been enabled.
Network discovery is a network setting that affects whether your computer can see (find) other computers and devices on the network and whether other computers on the network can see your computer. By default, Windows Firewall blocks network discovery, but you can enable it.

Open Advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click Network and Sharing Center, and then, in the left pane, click Change advanced sharing settings.

Click the chevron to expand your current network profile.

Click Turn on network discovery, and then click Save changes. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

And you should be good to get moving media!

Make sure your computer and handset are on the same subnet and have a go at streaming some media.

Newbie here....
I followed the instructions on http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-20077603-285/how-to-stream-music-from-your-pc-to-android-remotely/
But it made no mention of launching the Skifta program and setting up the preferences on the PC. Without that setup I cant see my PC on the phone's Android app.

I cant figure out how to add multiple folders for my videos in the PC preferences.

Please help.
